Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Selects collects when you apply to work with us, why we collect it, where it goes, and how to ask us to delete it.

Who we are

Selects is a curated city-guide brand from the team behind Hashtag Hamburg. We are building our first US city, Philadelphia, under @philadelphiaselects. When this policy says "we", "us", or "Selects", it means the people running that brand. You can reach us at any time at hello@selects.co.

What this policy covers

This policy covers the information you give us when you apply to a role with Selects through a lead form on Meta's platforms - Facebook and Instagram - including our recruiting campaign for the @philadelphiaselects UGC Creator role. It also covers messages you send us directly, for example by email.

What we collect

When you submit one of our recruiting lead forms on Facebook or Instagram, we receive the information you choose to enter. That can include:

• your full name
• your email address
• your phone number
• your Instagram handle
• your free-text answers to our application questions - for example your current occupation, whether you live in Philadelphia, and whether you make video content

We only receive the fields our form asks for and that you fill in. We do not collect special categories of personal data, and we ask you not to share any in the free-text fields.

How we collect it

We collect this information through lead ad forms hosted on Meta's platform. When you tap one of our ads on Facebook or Instagram and submit the form, Meta passes your answers to us. Meta's own handling of your data is governed by its privacy policy, which you can read at facebook.com/privacy/policy. We are not responsible for Meta's processing of your information on its own platforms.

Why we use it

We use the information for one purpose: to review and evaluate your application for a job or creator role with Selects, and to contact you about it. That includes reaching out to set up a conversation, asking follow-up questions, and keeping a record of where your application stands. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for unrelated advertising.

Where it goes

Your application flows into our internal applicant-tracking system, which is hosted on managed cloud infrastructure. Access is limited to the small Selects team involved in hiring. The processors that help us run this - Meta, which delivers the lead form, and our cloud hosting provider, which stores the data - act on our instructions.

How long we keep it

We keep your application for as long as we are considering you and for up to 12 months after we close the role, so we can come back to you if a suitable opening appears. After that we delete it. If you join the team, your information moves into our normal records. You can ask us to delete your application sooner at any time.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. To make any of these requests, email hello@selects.co from the address you applied with, or tell us which application to find. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are in a region with specific data rights, such as the EU or the UK, those rights still apply and this is how you exercise them with us.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle application data, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. The current version always lives at selects.co/privacy.
